2+ Weeks at Major Park Construction Project

Had a chance to hit the park restoration with some of the guys also. Had about 12 hours total in so I don’t think I did to bad. Oldest wheat was a 1916 the one with the grass still attached was back to back with one other wheat. When it rang up I thought I had a dime. Did see Milco and Tom on the pile and Matt and Big Randy on the flats. Just enjoy seeing everyone in this hobby having fun way to go guys. Would like to mention that the construction crew where very nice and actually allowed us to hunt as long as we where safe and out of there way.

Great finds, nice to see them all together! Yes, the construction crew were definitely very accommodating to us being out there!

Saturday & Sunday outings

Yesterday I arrived mid-morning as several guys were leaving. I went for about two hours and was able to snag three Mercs, some wheats and a toasted 1907 V Nickel.

I went back today in the heat of the day from about 2:30-5pm and man was it a cooker! Again, I was able to find silver with three more Mercs, some wheats and other clad and misc. I finally found a half too! Too bad it wasn't silver, sure made a sweet tone, thought for sure I had silver.

That's cool you found more out there. Nice finds again.

40 silvers .... man what a site. Love that scout ring ... still on my bucket list.

Monday July 27th

Here are my finds from today. I was able to grab two more silver coins and one silver ring. I thought the ring was newer, but after cleaning it up, it says Sterling, so it has at least a little bit of age to it. Also found a 1908 IH, 1925 Buffalo and six wheats along with an aluminum Milwaukee Palmolive Token.
Great to see everyone out there this morning! This is everything I dug and picked up.

Wow. I'm a noob both to swinging and the forum. This park you guys are hunting seems like nirvana! Seems no matter what you've all found it just keeps giving up more. Almost like an episode of the Twilight Zone. The finds appear to be endless.

Kudos on the finds and thanks for sharing. Absolutely inspiring!

July 28th Morning Hunt and 50th Silver

Hello Again, I made it out this morning for about 2-1/2 hours from 6-8:30am, before work. I have been the past several days, and did again this morning, slowly work a smaller area where one of the old baseball fields used to be.

I was able to find some more interesting items and pulled out silver coin #50 from this project. It was at about 4 inches and was an iffy signal with a nail right near the Rosie.
