Hello I hope everyone is enjoying the Summer and doing what we all love....Metal Detecting. I do Construction work here in NY and during one of my coffee breaks I was telling one of my Treasure tells about being deep in the woods finding the colonial past. My friend Joe asks me "Hey Brian can I go with you sometime?" I said sure and I have a spare Nokta Makro Simplex you can use."He's like that sounds great!" And than he says" I have a friend that has a old farm out east I am going to give him a call maybe we could go out there and Metal Detect sometime." I was like that sounds like a great idea." So the same day around 2 oclock we cross paths again at work and we get to talking again about Metal Detecting and he says "hey check out this article the newspaper wrote up on my friend the Farmer." "I was like send me the link and I will check it out." So come to find out that this man claims his family were part of the original settlers dating back to 1639! He says in the article that his family were part of the Hallocks. And they have farmed this land for generations. It didn't register in my brain at first because a storm rolled in and was raining large cents for the second day in a row! Yes Tom it rains Large Cents here on Longisland and we have good corn 2 lol But after that BOMBSHELL I thought it might rain Large Cents. Lmao! So I decided and do alittle detective work and dig alittle deeper on the property and the area while he secured the permission Via telephone. So the county out here has been buying up tons of farmland over the years to protect it from developers. So when i found out that a few other property's in the surrounding area date back to the 1600's I knew this could be game changing if it all works out. Keep ya updated on the details if it all goes through
