meteorites

First post... looking for help. Has anyone built a large detector coil like seen on the meteor men show where a coil is mounted to a pvc frame. Coil appears to be 4 x 8 feet. I'm looking to pull this behind an atv in a farm field. Any ideas?

I have a White's DFX300 which my 15 yr old grandson likes to use at the beach. He is becoming obsessed and wants to hunt for meteorites out west this summer. I have been looking at the reviews for the Bounty Hunter 505 for a xmas gift. Does anyone have some input on this?
