I am thinking of getting a complete carbon fiber replacement shaft and counterbalance for my Nox 800. Anybody out there have this setup on their Equinox? with their 11" coil? is it worth the extra money and what are the benefits?

most people agree that the Equinox 15 x 12 coil is too hard to swing in the water. I wonder why coils could not be designed like a leading edge of a air craft wing, or a slim wedge like on both outer left and right edges to make the coil easier to swing under water. Does this even make sense?

on the Equinox 800 does anyone use a threshold pitch in park or field to help id targets or rejected targets? As for me, I don't have a clue if this is any benefit or not. I know in gold it defaults to a threshold pitch and volume.

I find using the Equinox cuff around my arm is an annoyance when taking off laying down the detector when digging a plug. So I don't use it. what are the benefits of using the cuff? Am I missing something here? The only think I can guess is it reduces fatigue when swinging for longer periods...
