Kob , believe it or not , at my age , just looking for a dependable 2nd vehicle that will fit in my garage , and will toe my little Whaler for crabbing , I tried to get that scat pack at my price point , they don't want to come down , so there is more to it , and why Jeep Doge Ram vehicles are loaded up on the lots , agree those electric vehicles are not selling , Id walk before have to purchase one
, recently I was looking at a 2023 Ford Explorer , checked out the 3.0 eco 6 cylinder motor , The 2.5 oil pan leaks , went into the 3.0 early- 2018-19 models , and still they haven't properly fixed the problem even on the 3.0, the 2023 Explorer 400hp 3.0 eco 6 , at 20k miles oil pan leakage all over garages , even though they went to a compressed gasket, and not a fan on Aluminum blocks
So I will keep watching for a reliable vehicle with a nice power range , Jeep on reliability is a ONE out of 5 , terrible , however Id still toe the Whaler with my 2500 and get a hot rod for the garage- if only they came down on price , the last few years , ALL vehicles have went through the roof in pricing , and they want to steal your used vehicle & sell it for big bucks ! Here is one for you , I even looked at the Subaru Forester Wilderness ALL wheel drive , 185 hp , the problem is besides sticking my leg out to get the car moving , I notice these manufacturers Tring to get big buck's -with less motor , so even though & your right souping up those 4 & 6 cylinders , say for instance that Ford Explorer 2023 with the 3.0 eco , had twin turbo's , but an Aluminum block , with those turbos producing heat with an aluminum block that breaks down faster than iron , sooner or later your asking for a break down , with aluminum , its usually BAD NEWS
