Sounds like something that should be included in the BOX?
Would have been nice to include it. Off hand i cannot think of any detectors that come with carbon fiber shafts but there probably is some high end detector that does.
I am just about ready to spend $150 for a carbon fiber shaft for an Equinox. Would have been nice if Minelab had included one but they did not.
I NEVER said I should have gotten a F/C shaft, just to be clear. All I'd asked for was a better quality shaft that wasn't a noodle. LOL, and the poster in the other thread who claimed I wanted a lower with "no flex" please point out where I stated that. By all means be the very first one who made a statement where I'd clamed such nonsense, and point it out to me. I've yet to see anyone else do it.
All I'd said was this shaft is junk, and it is. Pics prove that. I actually took it to a field this morning to try it. That lasted about 15 minutes before spending the rest of its time on the seat of the truck. I grabbed a Cibola and scored a '37 Buff.
Now, those who made the laughable statement that "you should have researched and known", need to realize exactly what you've said. You're telling EVERYONE that N/M produced a detector with a faulty lower shaft, and did NOTHING to remedy the situation (PLEASE PAY ATTENTION HERE** I'm talking FLEX NOT WOBBLE). So it's my place to NOT believe this company WOULD NOT fix the issue, but instead, continue to market a detector with a faulty shaft, and it is the consumers place to know this. Nothing spells quality better than that!
OMG< my bad
All they had to do was say "Gauntlet, we're sorry, send us your address for a replacement shaft to replace the bad one you've obviously purchased with your Simplex".
Not a C/F, just the regular $13 replacement shaft. Now, if they're as worthless as the one I have, then yes, I should be given a C/F lower. Whatever it takes to provide me a useable lower shaft.
But, that's obviously asking too much from them.
Don't like it? Stop selling inferior products.
Some of you had better hope the Legend doesn't turn out like the Simplex shaft joke. Because if they'll do this on a $5 cost (likely less) part, kind of makes you wonder where else they cut corners.
We'll see.
ETA: It takes a terrible person to asked what he'd paid for

Note how she continually REFUSED to answer my questions.
Cheating consumers is OK, calling them out for it isn't
