Calabash back after the gold today with Deus 2 on beach

An intercepted memo from a trusted source.😂

Dear Mr. Calabash
Though we share in your enthusiasm and exuberance of your Beta testing beach find videos , there is one thing that you've continually done that you have been warned not to do. Throwing , dropping , abusing our XP Deus 2 detectors on the ground when you make a find. These are still delicate , computerized instruments. This is not the message our company endorses or promotes. Therefore we have decided to move in a different direction. These belong in more serious , experienced hands. Please remit all remaining XP detectors and proprietary information or you will be billed at full retail price.

We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Sincerely , Team XP

Wow,is that for real? Sounds legit..

Calabash going for micro jewelry using deus 2
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xhDDejV5-1k

I wasn't going to respond to this recent video... any detector out there is going to find that junk jewelry he posted... I don't get it these video's what are they proving?

He doesn't even say if any of its real and it doesn't look real... some of us carry loops around our necks I mean the beach is our jewelry store and we want to know whether it goes into the pouch or special place for special finds...

These recent video's are of no value to a beach hunter...last 2

Well,
That beach is pounded regularly.
The targets are still there it seems.
Yeah, excal would hit all he found ?
Doubt it.
Even Deus 2 using dive mode wouldn’t have hit lot of them.
Folks get to see Deus 2 working. Showing detector potential.
And calabash doesn’t charge anyone one red cent for showing.

And why are you speaking for all other beach hunters?
Be alright to say video didn’t benefit yourself.

Videos indeed could be benefiting future Deus 2 users on the beach. Some anyways. The way I see it. Calabash does talk about settings on detector. And some folks with Deus 2 may find these beneficial.

Every target he hit I would have hit with my Nox. I just need a blip without VDI and it is getting dug.

I do have a unit on order so I am not bashing it. I do believe it can go deeper than the Nox but the video has not proven it.

Tn, it’s great we have somone willing to show a new release video or two before it’s released. But let’s not B.S. ourselves, CB don’t make these videos as informative videos as much as he makes them for the atta boy scenario. I say that cause you say he don’t get a red cent,it’s not about money in my opinion after the first 50 videos,,It’s become a popularity thing more than a hobbie..Thats the reason I never had a Facebook account.
I hope you do great when you get your Deus 2, I’ll be watching out for your videos. I think yours are a little more informative about the actual limits of the machines and leave the viewer to make they’re own judgement calls.

You don’t know that. How could you?

Actually and I posted this just while ago over on Dankowski forum.

Fact.
Notice yesterday Calabash biggest nonferrous find was what?
The thing hooked to the chain.
Why?
Why was that find still there?
Calabash has seen lot of Eqx users there. One older man lives in the hotel and gives this particular beach hell everyday weather permitting.

So this chain with nonferrous attachment.
Could the chain have masked the attachment ?
And Deus 2 for whatever reason seen the attachment and reported?
We don’t know true orientation chain and attached devise was buried.

I have talked with Calabash just few minutes ago.
I suggested he take than chain and attatchment and do more test varying orientation comparing deus 2 and the EQX 800.

Remember a person could wear a gold ring on a junk chain.
A person could wear a gold ring on a gold chain.

We’ll see.
And we all might learn some thing.

And when talking to Calabash, notice deus 2 has half setting for reactivity Deus 1 never had.
Calabash this morning may have found out why. At least when using Deus 2 in at least one detecting venue.
You may see video where he shows this soon.

I don't speak for anyone but myself but others agree with me... I have a lot of friends on other venues...

You know what video's will benefit future beach hunters? Is video's made by a beach hunter..

You don't know what you are talking about TN... the Excalibur and NOX would have found all those targets he has dug...

We are not newbies we have skill sets... we know how to hunt, where to hunt and recover a target fast... and we don't need a pinpointer to find the target...

Not to worry.
I talked with Calabash.
He’s going to be experimenting and showing gold hoop earring both open and closed on beach.
Eqx and excal and Deus 2 will be used.

We’ll see what happens.

Give him time to do.

Should be interesting.

And I need to tell Calabash.
I want him to check a buried in wet sand junk hoop earring open and closed.
To see how results compare to the gold hoop ear ring.

Maybe you should post all the earring backs you have found? Also all the hoop earrings half the size of a dime [of course found open]

GOT PIC'S?

Who cares about earring backs... I'm going to give my opinions just like you can...

Who cares if a detector finds little bits of gold and silver earring backs...

I haven't swallowed the koolaid just yet

All Calabash is trying to do is try and see what Deus 2 capabilities are.
He has not claimed to be Deus 2 expert. Not yet anyways.

And he is sharing his journey via videos.
How nice of him.

I’ll be in same boat as Calabash soon too. Green horn Deus 2 user.
I’ll show some videos too.
I am going to freshwater beach and and play around some.
And other places.

I didn’t know different VLF models made by different manufacturers were carbon copy performers in all venues. Lol
They may or may not be.

What's a "pinpointer"? :?: :laughing::laughing::laughing:

These videos are of no help to anyone but Calabash. He clearly LOVES the attention, and did when he was a member here. WB said it best, he is not posting these videos for educational purposes, I think we can all agree on that. How about a run through on the settings? Real life scenarios, from the signal acquisition to the target retrieval. Also, I scratch my head as to why a dirt hunter is testing a new release on a beach? They couldn't find someone with more experience hunting the ocean? I'm not the most experienced beach hunter and he looks like a complete newbie to me even  I have learned zero watching these horrible videos he has been putting out as of late. He should stick to the planted backyard videos, IMO. XP picked a great person to hype up their product though, that's for sure! Too bad it's all hype though, and once this machine gets in some real hands, finding real targets, it will be interesting to see how it performs. It might be a great machine, might not be. I'm certainly not basing any decisions off of what calabash has to say though. We just went over this a couple years ago with the nox  let me guess, now he thinks the Nox is a piece of junk and the deus 2 is the end all be all? Most hunters with experience can see through the B.S. but most newbs cannot, and will likely fall for his tom foolery. I've learned alot from your posts TNSS, and I appreciate that! But I feel like calabash is sitting right next to you typing sometimes  :my2cents:

Well,
If we presume Calabash is rookie beach detectorist.
This not all bad.
Some newbies at beach detecting may have a look at the videos. Pondering Deus 2 acquisition.

Deus 1 sales in USA.
There is a good chance had more videos been done earlier more units would have been sold.
Why?
Xp used some terms with Deus in manual I think scared some folks off. Made detector seem more complicated to run versus how it really was to operate.

I feel like we are getting attacked by a used car salesman with rabies.

It is a person’s choice to enter this thread.
Common sense tells me, if one is not interested in this thread, and or doesn’t place any value in the data supplied. There are other threads on this forum to go read.

You don’t know that. How could you?

Why was that find still there?

Having found well over 60 gold rings that were mostly not new drops, a few chains (actually inches of a chain without any attachments, a 5+ gold crosses), I think I know what type of depth my targets can be found in wet sand.

Why is CB finding them? Big storm disturbed the beach. Look at all of the exposed pebbles from this weeks videos compared to last weeks videos. He even commented how the beach changed. I hunt old beaches not attached to the ocean and we are still digging high school rings that are from the 20's, 30', and 40's and these beaches are hit often. How can that be with our beaches getting raked over by all of those water detectors?

I think the D2 will improve my finds otherwise XP would not have released it. Chips and technology have improved. I am assuming this will provide extra depth in the style of my hunting and over the beaches I hunt.

Beaches in FL and RI, my depths are at least 2 inches over the CT shore line beaches. Myrtle's sand looks more like FL, NC, and RI sand.

If those items are gold, the Nox loves to go over gold over versus junk metals.

I run the Nox in Beach 2, sensitivity at 23/24, reactivity at 5, with custom bins sounding with higher pitch and higher volume for gold.
