Show me your injuns

I like how the details pop out after cleaning a couple of IHPs I dug previously, by leaving some of the dirt on it. Gives it a bit of dimension. Don't you think?

Here is a few that I found in a field where a one room school house used to stand.

I found these last year and early this year on a property where an old school used to stand. About .2 of an acre. The old school property extended beyond this property, so in the spring I'm going to try for permissions at the neighboring properties.

I haven't cleaned it up yet but I got this one the other day, and at 1887 it's my oldest coin find ever!

Has anyone ever cleaned these with hydrogen peroxide, or does that tend to ruin them? I use hydrogen peroxide on my Wheats.

Found a new one today and of course the date is the only spot that corroded off :(

Wow, congrats to everyone who has been finding IHPs !!!!

Now a question to those who have found IHPs using a Nox 800 -

What TIDs have you all gotten on your Nox 800 when finding IHPs ?

Same as AIRFORCEMIKE. Way lower than copper memorials and wheats that have been in the ground awhile. I've had them as low as 19 with junk in the ground. So, if you're on an old site with modern activity and want to find an IHP, then you need to be willing to dig zinc pennies. Depth doesn't matter either. I've dug them with that low 20 number just a couple of inches deep.

Thanks Mike !!!!

.....still looking for my first IHP and thought the TID might be anywhere from 19 to 25, but I'll be now focusing on any 21 TIDs as far as IHPs.

The Nox makes ya dig..gives you just enough info to keep ya interested and curious! Good luck and your first IHC is around the corner..I know it
