nuggetnoggin-beau chigger

I'm not bashing them, garrett is a business and I would imagine that people who work them that there primary goal is to sell garrett detectors. They don't fly those guys all over the world for nothing. I push the deus but don't get anything free hmm maybe I'm the dummy?? What I'm getting at is this if I want a good unbiased opinion on a garrett detector I'm not gonna look to those guys for it. I have learned a lot from the hoover boys and watched nugget noggin a long time back. If I want to know what feature a garrett has say the at max ill check them out.

garrett must have flown those guys to Alaska. they both have new vids from there. chigger has a 30-30 vid out. he uses what hes given. as for the church stuff, i dont want to hear it. just returned a ring to a deacon. I should have kept it. un grateful 5 second return and he had on a ring identical to it. I owed it to him. he prayed for me.

I really don't think Garrett plants (as in seeded) anything for them to find. Mike is the reason I went with the ATP. I felt I was getting good instructional value from watching them. Jocelyn went with them and she's been re-hitting old permissions and finds even more stuff deeper than before with the Max. Kurt just did two videos on the Max and he has no affiliation with Garrett and he's pretty blunt about what he finds out. He does say the Max is a great machine and the Gold is very underrated.

I watched a bunch of videos before deciding on the ATpro. I think Chigger and Nugget are more genuine with their videos than most. Some of the online reviews of detectors are ridiculously fake, but I think that's more at the dealer level than the company. I read several reviews that tell you you'll pay for your detector in a week with your finds. I like my scriptures, but I like them in a small church were the preachers car is not the nicest in the parking lot. Most of the time when I see religion and commerce mixed I question the sincerity of the message. Quite often they are sincere, but it makes me wonder.

It's what Youtube has become these days. Ordinary people post videos of their hobbies etc. and if they eventually have enough views/subscribers, they are often courted in various ways by the companies who's equipment they are using in the videos. It then turns into a quasi home video/advertisement. I'm not sure what I think about that.

In Marketing Parlance, This method of New Product Introduction, boosting sales, is called "Trust Through Transference"...Its not easy to do...your gear has to be tight, solid, definitely heavy tech backup 24/7, and your 'face' to the market has got to be well respected in the Community and beyond reproach...

It takes a long time to build Trust, and only a few seconds to destroy it...Nobody would dare risk the downside damage to either the Company or the Public Face shilling junk...Not at this level, with the internet rapid communications we have here now..? Not even a decent Distributor would agree to push inferior crapola now a days...The End Users and Forum Feedback are the Primary drop dead decider...We all know and talk to each other daily...and we can make or break a rollout...

Photos of Chig have appeared in Garrett catalogs and he's done videos with Garrett staff, clearly he has some sort of business relationship with them..........

I believe all three of these people have been shown in the Garrett Brochures.

If you were a company like Garrett, wouldn't you want a likeable and respected detectorist representing your products?

Compare these detectorists to others that seem to be silly and you'll understand what I'm suggesting.

Just saying........

As far as the religious aspect, I'm a pretty tough guy, I don't think a few words on a video is going to ruin my life or cause a downward spiral of anyone of other faiths.
Sometimes people need to remember it's not all about them.

Lol
Maybe me too.
Being the dummy.

Well, I haven't posted here, so might as well.

Notice this Johnny Bench commercial where he what try to sell some thing for aches and pains. Emu cream or something.

Kirstie Alley's weight loss plan meals she advertises.
She needs to be eating them big time!!

Let's not forget about the diggers show.

Seems some manufacturers are looking for leads who do lots of videos with followings.
I say, go for it.

Could anyone be conned through a video or some thing?
I reckon.

What about the cars we drive.
Same thing happens.

Boats.
Motor homes

You name it.

Look, I think there are plenty of folks who are members here, who if they had the time and more free reign, and more loot to hunt where they wanted,,they too could be pumping out the finds.
And doing videos too.

Tell you what, you let me hit that powerball drawing this week.

You think the Hoover boys, chigger etc put on good videos.
I'll show you all.
And will be using some of the folks here who are members in action with their detectors.

Just think it could be
Digger27 and Mud-puppy productions inc.

Heck I would even feel so good I would find a place for Good ole Nectar to participate. He could be the At Max star of the shows.

Yes absolutely, I don't object to whatever business relationship Chigg has with Garrett. I watch Beau because I like him. His relationship with Garrett doesn't matter to me.

I thought we were leaving this topic behind. Nobody said anybody's life was being ruined or anything like that. Two people said "I don't like that, so I stopped watching". How that got turned into "bashing Nugget" or some hypersensitive snowflake crying that "everything must be about them" I'll never know.

I find the responses very telling though, since they seem to be setting up straw men and knocking them down instead of addressing what people actually said. What's everyone so afraid of?

Using a well liked or respected person in a particular field to advertise for a product used by people in that field/hobby is nothing new. Bob Villa was the star of This Old House. He was extremely popular. So Sears started paying him to advertise their tools. When I bought my metal detector I didn't buy it because someone who made a bunch of videos said it was great, or even used one. I bought it because it was within my budget and had the features I wanted. And I'm not going to buy a Lincoln because Matthew McConaughey says they're nice.

This is the internet, no hot topic ever gets left behind😂
Just putting in my 2 cents. Now as far as calling the snowflake, I know what you are so what am i🤣
Besides, I thought you were "done" with this post? Maybe one of those guys that has to get the last word in it seems.

"What's everyone so afraid of?"
Closed minded hypocrites.

Haven't seen one in here yet. Seems like a baseless fear. All I see is some extremely agitated hypersensitivity toward someone who had the nerve to have a different opinion, coupled with some cherry picking, and insults.

Heh, tru dat I suppose.

I didn't call you a snowflake. I apologize if that's the way it sounded.

Well honestly I wanted to be done, but against my own best interest I keep looking in here and seeing more and more hyperbole, cherry picking, and insults lobbed in my general direction.

It's a flaw in my character that when I am on the receiving end of invective I feel compelled to respond. Especially when it's baseless invective. My wife would say "if someone feels the need to attack you because you have a different opinion, just move on, they aren't worth your time". She's right of course, but I am as human as the next guy. Plus I keep pursuing the hope that rational discussion will lead to understanding.

Perhaps that pursuit is misguided. :(

Well we have one thing in common, both our wives are always right!

Chigs videos are great, nuggets are good too, but i always jump the first ten seconds of his. I am sure both get lots of freebies from Garrett, solicited or not who knows, the company gets a ton of press from the both by watchers of the videos so they really ought to be hooking them up!

We liked all of these detectorists long before we saw the connection to Garrett.

Chig's video with the 100 silver coin find in that river crossing will always intrigue the heck out of me.

Nugget has a a lot of fun and does a variety of hunts. Plus having a companion like Abby along is much more appealing than the crew I usually hunt with. ;)

Beau Ouimette has some great videos too.

All of these people have covered Garrett's brochures in the last year or two. They are excellent examples of what we (as diggers) should emulate.
