Been working the same stretch of beach for the last 7-10 days. Over 500 clad coins (mostly quarters) and a few "trinkets." The junker ring was a heartstopper for a few seconds.
Yup. Most of the times the charts are accurate. Even live cam streams can be misleading. Especially when it comes to storms. Several times a site says 6'-8' surf , I'm there within an hour and it's the normal 3-4'. I wanna call them up and tell them to get out there and make this surf giant like you said it was. LolThat's why I don't always pay attention to what the charts and graphs say. Sometimes you just gotta go out and swing your coil! I agree with KOB, every beach is different...you never know until you look!
A lot of times I find a spot only a couple bus lengths long. You get past that it's the mumbles. All beaches are different. A beach half mile away could be sanded while the 1 you are on is not. This is why research and scouting are so important. Beaches can change dramatically in days , let alone hours.
