This past week, been to several old 1850s farm permissions, 1860 schoolhouses-bushwacked that, it was rough, and a one county park. (to feed my silver addiction). Sifting through the pile of farm junk, pull tabs, brambles, brush, and meeting/talking with permission owners, well, not much for the hours I put in, but a silver-plated ashtray, circa 1915 (given back to owner). Civil War 1863 token, given back to homeowner (she mentioned her 14-year-old son would love to have it and was a beginner detectorist). Total of 5 mercs, 2 in one spill at my fav.... park. Finally, a nice silver thimble at an 1850s homesite that had been detected before but they missed it probably because it rang up like a Lincoln cent and those dudes were probably cherry picking. Enjoy.
