.925 Souvenir Spoon - Cleveland

Good evening!

Yesterday I went out in a corn field that sits on a hillside above an old train station. I found lots of empty rifle brass and farm junk, but the got a beautiful 87 on the AT Pro. This one sang! I dug the plug and saw a spoon bowl. As I got it out, I could begin to see writing. This is my first sterling spoon. I can only assume that some traveler dropped it while waiting for the train.

Congrats on the spoon! For whatever reason those spoons always seem to come out twisted and bent.

What a find, what a save ! That is a stellar find Erik. A little piece of history that can be documented, I am jealous, although not a Cleveland fan but what can you say. The thing I like about Cleveland is Bertmans Original Mustard. Congrats on a very cool sterling spoon. Mark

This one has two initials in the bowl. I’ll never know, but it’s very cool.

I found it! Watson and Company. The spoon likely dates to the early 1900's.

Real nice spoon! I've dug at least a dozen spoons but none sterling. I'd consider something like that a bucket lister find.
