First Find

So Tuesday was my first time out and took my AT Max. I was working an old soybean field that was somewhat neglected and eroded. Almost an hour into working it, I come upon this "object" about 8" down. I have absolutely no clue as to what it is. It's about 5" in length and 1/2" wide. The top with the hole in it is flat just over 1". Thoughts?

Kinda looks like one of those old gate hooks with the hook end gone.

Looks like part of a vehicular door handle to me. I don't think it's a Model T, which might be a likely suspect on the farm. But check out this interior door handle from a '30s Plymouth on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/233115059111

I agree...ive seen quite a few cars and trucks 1970ish that looked like that
