I dug this in an area with Civil War history. As you can see from the pics, it is iron, has a design on one side, and the other side is hollow. I had a couple ideas, but my research has proven them to be incorrect. Not a big deal, but just wondering what it is/could be.

No problem! I think if it's any part of one, it would be the toe that's on the ground. Could be wrong still though 😅

Anybody have any idea what this could be? Found in a creek near a couple old mils. On one side of the creek was a gristmill and on the other a sawmill. I heard that there was also some civil war activity in this area. Its fairly heavy.
