Railroad tag?

Hello,

I recently got on a new site that dates back to the turn of the century. Found this and was curious if this could be a railroad tag? It says "T.P., Co. 4097."

It measures about 1.5" by 1.5" and is made out of brass.

Definitely looks to be a tool check tag; whether railroad or not - I don't know what T.P.Co is. Although googling "T.P. Co antique brass" revealed a lot of really sweet brass toilet paper holders!! :lol:

I believe that usually railroad tags and such, would also have the letters "R R" on them to denote it was from that type of business. Regardless, it is a neat find.
