Odd old Ink Stamper

I found this on an old property. Still had a bit of wood from the handle stuck to it.

The odd thing about this is the image. An old edison light bulb shining bright...

Tried to find out when this may have been made or why.

I suspect that it is from a GE Mazda lightbulb advertising campaign. I found out that GE gave away "ink blotters" using artwork from Maxfield Parrish and this symbol of the lightbulb appears on it. Very similar look.

Any thoughts?

I had no luck coming up with anything.

I do think back sometimes and remember some of the things we'd made in shop class, both wood and metal.

Aside from that (meaning nothing), during the quick search, I learned there must be some hardcore light bulb fans out there :lol:

It's part of the printing plate used to make that advertisement. I have found several plates over the years.
