May has not been good to me this year. I hurt my back which slowed me down. I did get out a couple of times with no luck. My back is starting to feel better. I drove passed a field site that I found some 1700s finds in April. I thought it was planted and off limits, but it isn’t. So after work today I tried my luck. I found toasted large cent and a 1944 wheat. It’s the best that I have done this month.
No much to look at but here they are.

Sounds to me like your turning the corner, in more ways than one. Let's hope the month of June far exceeds May!
 
It looks like the slump is over. I went out this morning at the break of day before I had to help on the farm. Found my second large cent in two short outings. I can’t see a date but I do have an id on this one. It’s a matron I think.
