Found this a few feet after finding a colonial square buckle fragment. I usually don’t find many buckles and I’ve never seen one like this. Anyone have any ideas on the age and what exactly this was used for as a buckle?

It’s a very nice small buckle. I know very little about buckles but I have been doing research to find out more about the ones I’ve found. My guess would be early 1700s? Hope someone that knows buckles can help you. Very cool find!
