Feal free ta post your knives. I like um.

Believe it or not,

I used to throw away old knives unless they
were nice and worked.

A little over a year ago, I decided that I love
old knives and started collecting them.

I now have a small collection,

Here's some cheep'os I found. But even tha
cheep ones can come in handy. I hunt with
one, and don't care what happens to it. I got
more.

Now, these are more interesting.

Tha KBar is collectable. It would fetch $30 or
so if I cleaned it up.

Tha tiny one with a tortes shell handle just says
made in USA. But I like it a lot.

There's an aluminum handle Case, and a wood
handle Case.

Also an original Swiss Army Knife, and a Gerber.

Here's my oldies. I just love um. Two are really
old.

This one I like so much, I carry it. It's a Buck.

I found this one yesterday.

It's a John Primble knife. I was going to try
and restore it, but it has a big problem.

The spring on tha big blade is broken. It was
probably discarded for that reason.

The handles are drying out right now. I'll get
another pic later.

Thanks fer lOOkin,

Tabdog

You have some nice Knives. I enjoy collecting knives, wish I could find more out hunting. To me the Buck 110 is the best knife ever put out

Hey Tab...

Of your "oldies", the one in the middle has a small shield thing on it. Any idea what it is ? I found a very similar one. Boy Scouts ?

Wow I cant believe how many people have knife collections, especially dug ones.
I like the old ones you have Tabdog, they are pretty interesting.

here's a quick & dirty pic of the knives I've found earlier this year.

I havnt found very many knives. Regular silverwear I typically throw out. I've only found two pocketkives.... the one in the pic & one very similar to the one you posted that has a slot on the side for a metal slide button. Mine had the knurled slide button & it had some sort of advertisement engraved into the handle (I think it was for a lumber yard).

Big Bowie

I had a large knife collection until someone broke in and stole it. Here's one of my current ones. I made it out of a circular saw blade.

wow, I am totally flabergusted and impressed beyond measure. That applies to all the collections. I give ya'll thirtyseventhumbsup and then sum

Those are some cool finds. I have found two so far and they were rusted beyond recognition. Pitched them with the trash, guess I'll have to start another box for things to save!

I like to tinker at knife making and with this new hobby of metal detecting, I have combined the two. Found this triangle shaped piece with one side curved and thought it would make a cool hatchet. Did a little electrolysis, put an edge on it, buffed it on the wheel and mounted it in an old broken ore handle from a sail boat.

A Few More

Here are a few more of the minature knives that I have made. Most are about the same size as the one next to the quarter.
