Spring is here.... along with a few birds

Thought I would share a pic that I was lucky enough to snap when a blue jay came and landed on my back porch rail to steal some grub.

Nice! Bluejays are something else. They are pretty aggressive actually. When we had cats the bluejays would tease the cats and swoop at them and sqawk, sqwak, sqawak.

Here's the little guys I wait for. They are called a Tufted Titmouse

They are the "big mouths" of the wild world. If anyone/thing comes around that is "alien" to them, they are the "alarm systems" (almost as bad as crows!).
Heck... you can't even take a leak in the woods without Bambi an' Thumper and all thier friends comin' around to see what the Bluejay was warnin' them about...!

When I was a child a Blue Jay attacked my brother.

Very aggressive birds, they are ... but very beautiful.

Nice pic! Where I'm at we get blue jays, cardinals, robins (a lot of robins), cow birds, etc...I really like seeing all the different birds that NE Oklahoma has. We even get eagles here in winter.
