This morning KT awoke at the Castle to the sound of a marching band near the Castle gate! Swiftly He was dressed and joined the Queen and Prince John on the veranda overlooking the entrance. There stood a band, composed of 20 Walking Liberties, amazingly all 1938 Ps, and the band leader composed of a 1906 O Barber. KT immediately teared up as they played Hail to the King! KT and the Royal Family bid them welcome and offered to hold a Royal Reception for them. Note - another reason KT was teary eyed was that the leader was dated from His Majesty's Royal Mother's birth year, and was a New Orleans mintage (means a lot to those of us raised in the South!).
After the reception, KT invited them to stay and, at their own convenience, keep the Royal Court amused with their musical talents. They accepted and now compose the Royal Courts Official Band of the Realm!
There is certainly joy in the Royal Court today, and many local peons have started coming to picnic outside the moat area and listen to the Royal Band play, much to their pleasure and amusement! Until winter arrives, this will be a daily noon event as a gift from KT to the region.
