Nicknames

My family of eight, mom,dad and six brothers and sisters, my dad couldnt remember our names all the times when he was in a hurry, but he called me all the time.............. Hey you!!!!! he wanted a tool or wash the car or mow the yard. so my nick name was Hey you!!!

Since my last name starts with an Mc i was always called Mac until i reported to my first ship in San Diego Ca. A gentleman who was senior to me in the gang that i was assigned to was Mac and he stated that there could only be one Mac. So he stuck the Nickname of Tim on me. He gave everyone a nickname. Rhodes was Dusty, Patton was Blood and Guts, Steele was Bob. Seems that there was an old time Movie star by the name of Tim who shared my last name.

He still to this day addresses me as Tim even after nearly 58 years.
