AMEN! God Bless Them. Heaven has them now. I will never forget who gave me freedom. It did not come from a college,a college professor or a government. It came from a Veteran who loved the people behind him more then life itself.
May you rest in peace.

Never was in the military, but two brothers were in Korea, one Army one Marines, Queen's father and his brother in Navy in WW II, and many other relatives in service. Ultimate respect for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This morning KT sang the featured solo music, the Navy Hymn, Almighty Father Strong to Save, at my Church. Hard to sing when you feel like crying, but I was honored to pick it and sing it.

Nice post, James! This veteran is grateful for my brothers who sacrificed all!

Thank you to all that have laid there life on the line for our freedom and liberty. And in these very strange times we all should included your local law enforcement as they are being targeted more than any current individual I can think of. God bless America, it’s veterans and those who have protected all of our rights!

Excellent thread!

Semper FI to to all those that serve and have served, God bless those that gave their lives for the rest of us.

Thanks to everyone who has served or is serving! 🇺🇸 My grandpa proudly served in Vietnam.

Halfway down the trail to Hell in a shady meadow green,

are the Souls of all dead troopers camped near a good old-time canteen,
and this eternal resting place is known as Fiddlers' Green.

Marching past, straight through to Hell, the Infantry are seen,
accompanied by the Engineers, Artillery and Marine,
for none but the shades of Cavalrymen dismount at Fiddlers' Green.

Though some go curving down the trail to seek a warmer scene,
no trooper ever gets to Hell ere he's emptied his canteen
and so rides back to drink again with friends at Fiddlers' Green.
!
And so when man and horse go down beneath a saber keen,
or in a roaring charge fierce melee you stop a bullet clean,
and the hostiles come to get your scalp,
just empty your canteen and put your pistol to your head

and go to Fiddlers' Green.

Thanks so much for the post and pics, I really appreciate it . Myself I spent 9 yrs of my life as a Navy sniper. I have seen and done things that I cannot change , but what I did do I did for my country. Just wanted to thank you, and to let you know it means so much , especially in this day and age.
