Can’t remember exactly what Dan recovered there I know a couple of tax tokens and we both did find clad and I got my first war nickel ever

As we progressed down the street we started seeing previous large plugs someone had dug. So we weren’t the first. But still found the nickel and another Indian head for the year.

From there we proceeded to groover st and found very little while zigzagging on side streets we informed by a landscaper that liberty was built and marked by the CCC in the 30’s. Never saw marks but it led to our best spot.

While on liberty st we were hitting a curb strip in front of a house and church. The home was owned by the church I found my second mercury dime of the year.

While Dan was hitting the strip I heard a mower in the back and went to talk to the guy. He was a member of church and said we could hit that yard. Boy was that a good idea. I found my first trade token.

It appears to say palace Lynden Washington can’t find a positive ID yet.

Also found third silver ring of the year. It says sterling espo. From what I can gather it is made by Joesph Esposito

Dan killed it in that yard got a silver Washington quarter (I still haven’t found a silver quarter) and a walker half.

Check his thread out at.

Today’s wrap up of a 10 hour curb strip extravaganza. Here’s my take.
60 modern pennies (2 mower hits)
21 modern dimes
2 Washington quarters
1 sterling espo ring
1 mercury dime
1 war nickel (first ever)
1 Indian head penny
4 wheats
1 Washington tax token (1/2)
1 trade token for 5 cents still trying to ID (first)
Golf ball and tennis ball at a park to end the day.

Also found a random piece of tin deep about 8”. It appears to have some older script on it.

Has an E and a S. No idea but appears old.

Nice finds for both of you! I've been to Lynden probably 100 times when I lived near there. Good strawberry, raspberry and blueberry U-Pick places, used to load up on those!

Congrats on your first war nickel, Merc, Ihp and all the other goodies. You and you buddy had one fine day, Love the pics. Good luck, Mark
