Tomorrow, February 5, will mark one year of sobriety for me. As a gift to myself, I went out today and picked up a Silver Eagle as a reminder. Just wanted to share.

God Bless!

:D Super congrats, that is great !!!! (nice coin too !)

Stay determined and you'll be glad you did, as an encouragement let me share that I have been sober over 40 years, in my younger wild days I was pretty much an alcoholic along with drug use and about 3 packs a day cigarettes, I had pretty much partied about 7 days a week back then more often than not from what I remember, and thank God He delivered me from it all cold turkey. Also...... Not only is it nice to not have hangovers, but also better health in general overall, not to mention how much money you save

I can remember my first year, it wasn't easy. In fact I've had several first years, until I finally gave completely up. I pray that you'll be coming back every year to tell us about your next anniversary. One day at a time!

A huge attaboy to you Erik. Not fun if the devil comes knocking, being able to slam the door takes a ton of inner strenth and commitment and you my friend have displayed just that. Well done. Congratulations and stay safe, Mark

Amen Mark!

I’m so glad to hear that. That is a awesome thing. And many more. Congratulations. And congratulations on the silver also.

Congratulations! Reminds me of this AA Recovery medallion I dug a couple years ago - looks like it was touched for strength a lot from the wear on the Serenity Prayer. Wish I could have gotten it back to whoever lost it.

That is SO wonderful to hear! Congratulations! One day at a time, and, if necessary, one hour, one minute, the next ten seconds at a time. You can do it!!
The entire forum, the lot of y'all, are in my evening prayers each night.
Tonight, I'll give thanks for your sobriety, PartyOfOne.
