NevTrac was driving by an area in Carson today and noticed they grubbed the sagebrush. He sent out a group text and we all came out!

8 Chinese cash coins. An 1838 dime, an 1854 seated quarter, a Barber 1/2, and a dog tag! Heading back in the morning. Borrowed pics from group texts. My 3 cash coins are with the dog tag. Sharon got the quarter and 1/2. NevTrac got the dime.

Congrats to you and your buds Chris. Looks like a great day. Will those silvers clean up ? One more question, in your opinion do you think the Deus ll is performing better than the 800 in your soil ? Not trying to start a debate here. Just asking a personal opinion. Good luck, Mark

The best part of hunting with buddies is you can share the excitement of your finds right away. Congratulations on finds.

I am much more comfortable with the equinox than the Deus 2. I prefer Minelab tones. I give the equinox the edge on depth in base programs. I have to tweak the XPD2 to match the equinox depth. Equinox base programs all run very similar depth wise where the XPD2 has tremendous depth differences in programs. I find myself running sensitive FT most of the time due to the high amount of trash in most places I hunt. 0-4" in that program. The one deep program kills the battery in the coil.

If Minelab comes out with a machine as light as the XPD2 I will go back to Minelab.

Was that seated in a fire? Is it cupped as well?

Nice finds I have a friend who lives in Minden he just moved there from CT I told him to take up detecting...

Chris, did you get that 1911 Carson city Dog License ? That could be valuable. Email me and I'll put you in touch with a collector to evaluate it.
