Default I'm happy with this one

It was a nice Indian Summer day today, so I decided to pass on the projects list and hit the beach for a couple of hours. I wasn't expecting much, just wanted to get some fresh air and exercise. It went pretty much as anticipated, a few Felixes and a bit of trash, and then bingo, 8.88 g of 14K. It's been a while and this one got the blood pumping. Gonna have to get out there more!

Very nice ring. Don't think I've seen a unique 1 like that before.

Fine looking ring with some weight to it! Good ratio - amazing that you got that with such few other targets.

Most of the beaches I search are not target-rich, excluding the iron. It's easy to get zoned out with the swinging, occasionally getting jerked back into the real world with the blast from a poptop or bottle cap, and very rarely from the elusive gold.

Thanks GS. I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the 'popcorn'. Actually, it's what's called popcorn calcite, which grows as groundwater seeps through cave walls and precipitates calcium carbonate in the void. Sure looks like popcorn but it would be hard on the teeth!
