Great day today hunting the civil war site. I discovered Scovill 4 buttons total! 2 of them are the large "BS" buttons, and one is a cuff "BS" button, and the last one(I nearly died when I dug it up) is a North Carolina State Seal button with LOTS of gilt on it still. It is a cuff button and is in perfect condition and I have heard that it is a VERY rare button. Possibly worth in the upwards of $2000.00 dollars. this is the link to a good button like it. http://www.civilwarbuttons.com/cs0807065.JPG There is a piece of rusted steel on the hasp eyelet that I left on it because I do not know if it will make it more valuable with a piece of unique Iron on it. Take a look! I am very excited about it. Other finds of the day included a beat up Civil War clip-corner belt plate, and Turtlefoot this is for you: 2 shotgun shells from the 1800s. One is a WRA Co. rival and the other is a UMC CO New Club. Thanks for looking! Great day of digging for me and I am very excited!
