I have had the 600 since they first came out and have been happy with it. Wondering if faster recovery speed would help me in heavy nail and trash sites.
Anyone upgraded from equinox 600 to 800?

I have two 800 units and a 600. I find myself using the 600 more than the eights for whatever reason. I run the 6" round coil on the 600 and the 11" and 15" on the 800's. I just got the 10x5 Coiltek and am switching it out with the 11". I love the small coils in the parks!

I have an 800 and actually have rarely turned the recovery up past 6. I turn it down more than up, but I'm not hunting iron site much. Honestly I don't think you are losing much if your max is setting 6 which is what 3 is supposd to be on the Nox 600. I hunt heavy mordern trash and do pretty good keeping on 6. A 6" coil or a Coiltek 5"x10"might be a cheaper option.
I do like the way you can manipulate the tones on the 800 say in 5 tone that I run mine in almost 100% of the time. That's nice to have.

I have had the 600 longer than the 800. Coincidentally though, I do use the 800 more with the 10x5 coil. It is the only situation where I use recovery speed of 7 in high trash. Otherwise there's very little I would buy the 800 for being its price compared to the 600. I used to pick up either machine when heading out the door, 600 as much as the 800.
