Two proofs in change

No detector required. I gave my girls money for the concession stand at the football game tonight. My youngest came back and handed me these two proofs that she got in change.

Those two quarters look absolutely unremarkable from any other quarter floating around. I’m no coin expert, but those look like, well….circulating clad quarters.
Please explain.

Proofs have an S mint mark and the coin has a mirror like finish with the raised details being dull.
