I got out yesterday to small yard at a 1915 house permission. I had high hopes of ihps, slqs, barbers and maybe even a seated since the house next to it was built in the late 1800s. However after scouring the yard for almost six hours I only came home with two silvers, a 59 rosie and a 1947 Turkish coin that’s 60% silver. Should it count in my yearly silver total? After thinking on this for about two long seconds, I said to myself “heck yeah I’m counting it. I would count a war nickel with less silver content.” So those two bring me to 1 over last year’s total of 40. I also got a 1940 10 mils coin with Palestine on it! Seven wheaties rounded out the day. I think this yard had fill added to it maybe back in the 70s as I dug a lot of 60s and early 70s clad at 7-8”.

Today I went back to the high school where I got $30 in clad last Sunday. Today wasn’t quite as good as I only got $18.15, BUT I scored two silver rosies! One was a 64 and the other a 56. Very happy with that as my all time record total of yearly silver coins is 46. Although I’m running out of good silver producing sites I may get lucky and have a shot at besting it. The school I hunted today was built in 1960 so there may be more there. Just got to find it. So my total for the year is now standing at 43.

Very cool bunch of finds Toad. Congrats on the silver and wheats. # 50 fty is right around the corner. Stay on the train. Not too shabby on the clad take either. I like the 1940 coin from Palestine and the Presidential token. Good luck, Mark
