Well September was a little slow plus I was being a bit more picky as I did pass up a few silver pieces. I just have soooo much silver I really don't need more unless its super cool or rare. My first find was the white gold wedding band, I knew it was old simply because of the notch in the band..it originally locked to the engagement ring. The next was the sterling amethyst and citrine earrings both marked. I then visit a store that for some reason I completely forget about and I pick up a white gold cable chain. I don't care for these types of necklaces as I find them just to stiff..but its gold so gotta buy it. Next I visit my local flea market , which I haven't really been going to in the last year. A guy there has all this jewelry and somehow I manage to pick out a bag that has four silver pieces. Both the mushroom necklace and the sterling ring are definitely '70s. I then go to a thrift shop I always go to and come out empty handed..again. But looky looky what's that laying on the ground. 14kt. Eterna gold rolo bracelet. Cost..0.00. The last picture is of a ring I purchased about 8 years ago at a pawn shop for $40.00. Now when I bought this the guy told me it WAS NOT a diamond. Well I purchased a diamond tester this week to check out my finds and my stuff at home and to take with me. Well don't you know this comes up diamond. I then take it to him and a high end jeweler only to find out that IT REALLY IS a diamond and a beautiful one at that. Now here's a fun part too. I couldn't figure why they would put such a gorgeous diamond with junk stones. So I go up into the Mts. and have a lady up there test the stones...well these stones are blue spinel..which from what I am reading about.. are quite a rarity. So I guess you never know what you got or what you are purchasing. Happy hunting all....
