Greetings treasure hunters! Can someone help me. I understand that this device has been manufactured for a long time, and today the Minelab company is already manufacturing devices with greater capabilities than before. But be that as it may, as the owner of the Sovereign Elite, with a sporting interest I want to try this forgotten amplifier, the Sovereign Amplifier For the Minelab. If anyone has any thoughts where I can purchase it, I look forward to your comments. And you have interesting signals under the coil!

I had one of these years ago. Theoretically they do work. It adds depth to the Sovereign. But to be honest the Sovereign can't handle it.

I look at it like this. I use the Sovereign for beach hunting. I have never been able to run the Sovereign at full sensitivity on the beach. That is full stock sensitivity. So adding more sensitivity from an outside source just was not practical to me. It also added instability to my detector requiring constant adjustment while conditions changed on the beach. Conditions like the amount of moisture in the sand. If you stick to a very small controlled area this accessory could make a difference. But I am all over the beach so I just had no use for it.

The best thing that I got out of mine......I made a friendship with Old Beachnut when I sold one to him. He might chime in and offer a much better opinion.

Hello! Can someone tell me who to buy it from? I would be very grateful!

Hello Goodmore! Please introduce me to Old Beachnut. You said earlier that you sold him an S-amplifier for the Minelab Sovereign long ago. I would like to ask him a few questions about the amplifier. I would be very grateful to you for that.

Dag, Sorry I just seen this.. I still have the one. Like Goodmore said at the beach into the water was not the best. More of a over load, but for the dirt.. and dry sand it worked fine. Someday I hope to get back on it. But stay in contact, for if I see another I will flag it down for you. Here is what I have on it..as far as info.

Give me a few days to gather all, so I'll be posting here and there on it.

This is from the maker.. maybe you can contact him.

Another mode to the sovereigns but be careful! Just the smallest of turn can change it a lot. You will need to have your headphones on for this.. its to adjust to your hearing..no one else. I've tuned all of my Excalibur's for my hearing.. If your a all metal hunter this could be one of the best, this and a good set of HP's will allow one to hear faints no one else can..

This is the first times I have shared this modification. Be careful!

Date....09/11/2021 just incase anyone else wants to say they were first.

Hey! Well, finally, at least someone responded)) So the topic has come to life. Yes, there are questions regarding the operation of the s-amplifier. Is it possible with the help of it to increase the depth of detection, and at the same time "not go crazy" from those trills that my GT will perform. Since I understand perfectly well that pumping current into the coil, the ground starts to make noise. This video from the manufacturer was seen earlier on this forum. It impressed me a lot! But, it's all over the air. As a great specialist in electronics repairing metal detectors and coils once answered me: physics cannot be fooled.

In my area there is black soil, sand and clay. I still want to test the amplifier on one of the best devices, such as Sovereign)

OBN I stay in touch. I will wait for news from you. Yes, and I heard about those settings in the Sovereign block earlier, but still did not dare to violate the factory settings. Thank you very much for your answer! To all treasure hunters of beautiful signals under the coil !!!

Forgot to add that about 6 months ago, I contacted the manufacturer of the S-amplifier. Unfortunately, the answer was no. He no longer produces them

You know there are several out there, many I am sure just setting. I would put a WTB ..want to buy ..ad on Findmall, since that was the original home, over on the Minelab Excalibur and Sovereign forum.

What is it? If it's just another audio amplifier, then it's not worth your attention. If the current amplifier is on the coil, then it is interesting to see. My search did not return any results. If possible, give a link to this device, be so kind)

I also already have the comments of a specialist, I will make a reservation that a specialist with vast experience in the field of electronics, regarding adjusting the sensitivity on the Sovereign board itself. This is his opinion: "Actually, this is an endless dispute about whether it is worth overclocking the finished equipment. It is not difficult to do this - it is enough to increase the resistance of the resistor in the OOS circuit of the first stage of the input amplifier. As a result, we will get a more sensitive device. But the trick is that it is sensitive. he will become to everything - including hooks, blows, noises. As a result - an increase in the depth and removal of the brain. Here everyone chooses for himself .. "

How do your devices work for you? Do they have hallucinations on the ground, hitting the grass, and the like?
