Hi, I'm Noah. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how old my suspender clips are? I found them this morning. They are pretty ornate, and looks like they are bronze. The prongs are either broken off on one side, but on the other, half of the prongs are missing.

Welcome to the forum Noah! Some suspender clips have patent dates on them. Clean them up and look really good for any writing on them, it will be very small text. Very nice relics!

Thanks! I do not know if this helps, but I also found a piece from an oil lamp that has two different dates on it. One is December 1868, and the other is May 1869. They were right next to each other.

Welcome from Winnsboro, South Carolina !!!!

Like what was already said, see if there is any writing on the suspender clips at all, if so post it on this thread and it might help us help you figure out more about it.
