I haven't been able to detect much recently because I've been busy with school, but today I got in about 5 hours at a late 1800s spot. It is a huge property, the type of place you could detect for years and not even scratch the surface.

Lots of brass mystery items. The top left object looks a valve of some sort. Pretty sure the brass disk is part of pocket watch movement. Also found two older coins, 1941 wheat and 1891 Indian cent. Unfortunately I autographed the Indian cent. Maybe next time I will find some 1800s silver. A guy can dream! :D Thanks for looking

That's a gas valve.

Yep, after some Google searching the proper name for it is a petcock valve. The piece used to turned the valve on/off & the threaded end of the valve are both broken off. My guess is that the body of the valve is bronze, because the patina is not the typical reddish or greenish brass patina.
