I've had the 10x5 Nox coil for nearly two weeks, hunted a lot lately and just yesterday, finally pulled out a silver coin. The thing about this silver was that it was embedded in a hunk of seriously hard clay, and I mean I couldn't pierce the spot standing on the Sampson shovel where the Minelab wiggle said it was at. I got the area dug on the other sides, and then had the pinpointer read the target in the sidewall of the rock hard, un-dug clod. I was going to quit if I'd found all the circumference just as hard. It was giving a fairly repeatable Vdi of 27 periodically, which is a good silver dime sign. It took work, but I'd hoped for a Merc. 1948 dime. I hardly count Roosevelts but it was the first for the new coil. Also, this was only the second coin signal I had from this area during 2 hours of swinging. The other was two well eaten zinc pennies, sandwiched together, reading 22. I figured it was a bottle cap, but the signals were so few, I took a shot.
