Me and a friend decided to have a look at a old gold mine we have been to before but wanted to check a new spot. Unfortunately, I hadn't brought my phone for pics... (will next time!) but we found some pretty cool spots. One place was what looked to be a collapse in ground into a mine shaft... also a literal TON of quartz including a 1ft thick vein exposed thru bedrock. It was probably a good 100ft long. I will include pics of where the vein is as u can literally see it from low orbit satellite imagery lol i want to camp here in the future and take a gold pan, detector and find some gold nuggets!! In 1886 it was opened and they were pulling 20 ounce nuggets of gold out of here!

As for finds, a lot of spent rounds of ammunition, friend found one unfired. older and modern, he found a old pickaxe head which was cool, i had found an old maul hammer head as well, it was just to dirty to take so we sat it out weather until next time. Coolest thing was at the quartz vein... I found a tag saying "QV #1" No gold nuggets however lol in the picture is the tag, spent winchester 30-06, a handgun magnum load i assume, old aluminum nail, i think a old soda can top, a fired bullet and chunk of lead, not sure if its made or if its natural. We were in the right spot that's for sure!
