Hey Guys!

I wanted to share with you a momentous goal that I have finally reached! After almost 10 years of metal detecting, I finally hit the $13,000 mark! After countless hours of hard work that finally paid off. I am crazy for this hobby! I still remember my wife saying... "what do you want for Christmas?" I said, "A metal detector" She said, "how much?" I said, "$600". She said "no that is too much money" I said, "it will pay for itself eventually." She laughed.. Now look who's laughing! LOL! I am currently using the awesome Nox 800. That machine is a beast!

I went out a few weeks ago to hunt and found a sweet silver ring at a local park. I went back to the park last week and found another silver ring of the same size. My thinking is that the guy lost the first ring and now lost the second ring. lol Today I pulled in $20.91 in 3 hours!

My next goal? Well, I guess $14,000 is coming up next? It is getting harder and harder to find the good clad. :(

Here are some pics over the years. 2016, 2017, 2018.

Happy Hunting Everybody!

How about some tips on how to find this much

SURE! It helps to have really good equipment. I use the Nox 800 and a the Garrett pin pointer. I have my detector set for quarters and nickels. Good parks and schools that have not been hunted out helps. I grid the parks/schools, and take my time. Those are the big tips for you. I live in southern California so hunting year around is ideal here. I rarely go to beaches to hunt. I am more of a mega cladder even though a nice ring I will take.

Where are you located? What are you using to metal detect?

I have the CTX and the Deus 2, mainly using the CTX, and the WHITES TRX pointer.

I'm near Pittsburgh PA. Thanks for the tips.. I'm going to copy this, and keep it for reference!

How many hours a week are you putting in? Thats a lot of experience!

Holy Jeezzz
I'm impressed on your finds and your layout of coins
How many detectors did you say you were swinging at once ;)

Those pictures of your treasure blew me away! Is there Metal detecting “Hall of Fame?” You’d be a shoe in!

very impressive. Just the time to lay them out for the photo is overwhelming to me.

I am rethinking about clad. Plenty of it in North Atlanta (not much silver). My CTX is a pro at cherry picking clad. Do you just dig quarters?

I’m trying to understand this sense of organization? Good grief.
