These are some of the small finds from three short hunts this week. From three different old home sites. The ring is lead and seems to be homemade it has something crudely inscribed on it. I rounded it back out in an effort to read the inscription. Overall buttons were found in one spot so it qualifies as a spill I guess. Been hunting afternoons or early in the morning or as I like to call it Sweating for the Oldies. A bonus silver this morning too.

That is a really interesting ring, really makes you wonder the story behind it. Fascinating to think of all the stuff that may be hidden just under the dirt out there.

yes test

Yes. Test overall buttons and a couple Carhartts. I find lots different overall buttons, they are one of my favorite relics. Overalls must have been the garment of choice for rural agricultural areas. The ring seems to be a section of lead pipe someone turned into a ring for a child.
