My Dad was put on a breathing machine with COVID

Sorry to say my Dad passed yesterday. Thanks for all the prayers.

I just want to add that he was not vaccinated because he had read all the stuff about how the vaccination is bad and killing people and does not work. I just ask that people think about what they post and the possible results. Your opinion is 100% welcome.

For anyone who has not watched someone in their last days with COVID really should know it was the most horrible way, I could see someone dying. It was like drowning until he could breathe no more.

Sorry to hear about your loss, specially since it was so preventable. :(

So sorry to hear this, terrible thing this covid, and all the more frustrating that it continues even with an easy way to prevent it found close at hand...

very sorry to hear that. I am a retired Police Officer and the losses hurt worse. out of a 330 man dept in 1978 i have a list of 130 plus brothers that i worked with that i know have passed. some were old and some just there a short while but we were brothers, and sisters at one time.

there is a college athlete posting about the vaccine doing irreparable harm to him, ending a career. My brother in Law cannot take an egg grown vaccine and is resfusing to take this shot. his other sister lives with him ( he is slightly challenged) in his 60s, the sister was in her 31st week of chemo for breast cancer with a warning of covid would be fatal. she caught it, flu like two weeks, after third week continued the 36 week regimen, had surgery 3 times, and is doing fine. she was called in to get her booster already as at risk. she got her first two shots after the chemo was over. she takes a pill for hormone reduction to stop a possible spread to female organs until she can get them removed.

just because the vaccine has some side effects, does not mean the risk of the vaccine is greater than the risk of covid. i worked a case where acetaminophen took a babies liver out. you never know. the dangers of driving to the store are greater than the vaccine.

again sorry for your loss and keep encouraging the use of the vaccine.

Rest in Peace brother at arms now in the arms of Peace

Sorry about your dad. Sounds like a real leader in his community with a career of selfless public service. Should people with natural antibodies still get the vaccine or be given ultimatums at their place of employment?

So sorry for your loss and thanks for encouraging people to do what they can to avoid Covid themselves.

While I believe many people nowadays are over-medicated (speaking in general) I have been leery about taking any meds unless really necessary, but I am so glad my wife had talked me into getting the vaccine.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. Trust that he is a better place. Condolences to you and your family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is terrible that people for what ever reason are spreading that anti-vax nonsense. My son 39 does not believe in the vaccine and that he is healthy. My Sister-in-law is a nurse here in Atlanta's Northside hospital and she said most of her corvid patients in the hospital did not get a vaccine.

In our entire US history vaccines have ended most epidemics in this country.

So sorry to hear about your father [emoji1317]

For those of you who couldn’t find it…

Sounds like he is going to get a great send-off. The local police department is lowing flags to half staff, wear a black band, going give the family a police escort, and give a last call on the radio at his funeral.
