Don't get a cheap one and certainly not a no-name brand from china. Won't last 3 months.
don't get any of the advances ones like Equinox 800, XP Deus, etc.
Start with a good quality modern detector on the low end like the Minelab Vanquish 440 or 540.
have lots of fun.

Welcome, the more you use your gear, the more you will understand it. Just take in advice and apply it to your hunts and see what works best for you. HH
