Found the stirrup in 2019 and the 3" Hotchkiss shell in 2022, both from Culpeper Co. A mile or so north of Cedar Mountain on private farm - with permission.

Does a Hotchkiss shell explode? Still live? Black powder lives about forever!

Better safe than sorry. I had it drilled out and powder removed by a pro. No need in taking unnecessary risks.
