And I would add, to the above statement, that someone can certainly "push back" on that word "legal". With all sorts of technical analysis. Ie.: To eventually come up with some sort of explanation how it's utterly taboo, blah blah.
In other words, the attempt you're getting at, to sanitize our actions as "legal", can simply go both ways. A lawyer-type can dissect that, and delve into pages of legal fine-print of laws, blah blah Right ?
So rather than debating "legal limbo", how about we just focus on "realistic limbo" ? In other words, ask ourselves : Does anyone REALLY care ? Because if no one cares, then presto : No one cares. Why debate legality in the first place, if the entire question is a non-issue in the first place ?
Like taking the tag off of a mattress, or spitting on sidewalks : At a certain point, you don't debate "legality". You resort to "realistic" as your measuring rod .
