I will take some pics in a bit. Tons of iron. Found a new iron patch out there so hopefully soon I will find something besides nails and the like again. Today was all old iron and some random trash.

Had a great time today out with a fellow forum member and his buddy. I only found trash and a older compact as well as a marble. Anybody know anything about marbles? One of them found a cool Chicago tailoring company badge or something and a older spigot looking thingy with cool fancy detail. Hereís my day

Marble is from pre 1940 at least I am assuming. The house that was there has been gone since then and now itís woods.

Also found I think a Levi button maybe. Not at new site but mid field so modern it appears.

Thanks wolf dog, it is 99.9 iron specifically nails but the .1 makes it worth it. Plus really cool history for a very modern state when it comes to dates of homesites.

Yesterday kiddo wanted to stay home and do art since it was raining pretty good. I still headed out. The field and homesite are getting tough. Things are greening up and growing. The field grass is taller and harder to swing. So got there detected for about 45 minutes and said time to go somewhere else for now. Was gonna ask for that permission but want my kid with me to hopefully improve my odds. Ended up going to where thousands tube each summer.

Itís over that far bar where main channel is.
Some weekends itís close to a thousand tubers. Anyhow it had flooded and changed. Didnít find anything but half a bucket of trash and 1.14 in clad. My snowy spots are now pretty accessible

Thanks I appreciate the comments. It is beautiful here by Mt. Baker but very little going on pre civil war. Most didnít come out till after the war. So not much thatís old and if so it was probably dropped and brought with them. So really slim pickings. I may start trying older public curb strips soon with a forum member and his buddy. Have done zero of that. But the old logging camps and ccc camps are almost free of snow. Wish I could go back east or even England to hunt. I plan to go to a competitive hunt soon.
