So I don't do a lot of nickel boxes, but do grab one once in awhile. Like most everyone else, I look for war nickels and buffalo's. Nothing much to see on that front, as I found 1 buffalo, and 2 war nickels. (I did find a couple of '38's too, so I put them in my book.) What I noticed throughout the box was some "new" looking old nickels. Some of the edges actually seem "sharp. With a loupe, it is easy to see the steps, and most I can find no scratches or any sign of wear. As my wife said, they look brand new. I found 13 in all, and took a few close-ups. They range in age from 1952-1972. Any thoughts? Am I just imagining things here? Any input is appreciated.
