Earlier this week I decided I was going to design and 3D print a hinged remote control holder for my Deus II. It took some tweaking, but I finally got it to where I think I can publish the files (and have: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5831062). I will swing by the hardware store soon to replace the nail I'm currently using with a skinny bolt and nyloc nut. Happy printing and hunting!!

Well done. The things you can do with those 3D printers is awesome. :clapping: :neat:
Thank you! It's been super rewarding and exciting to work through this! I'm working on a dive shaft adapter, now... :cool3:

Very nicely done. I did something similar for my Nox 800 so it could pack down into a hard case a few years ago. I love that you can come up with an idea, design it, and have something print it out while you sleep now. I need to do something on my Deus to make the dive cable/antenna attachment easier. What do you use to make your STLs? I had been using Fusion 360, but for some reason they just cut off my free license this year.

I'm working on learning Fusion. I designed this (and a few other items) on the MS Paint of the CAD world: TinkerCAD. :-) I have a new version of this hinged holder that incorporates a latch and larger hinge holes. I need to print it and confirm it works, then I'll replace my file with the updated one.

Good job on that design!
I've been using FreeCad, it's probably not as easy to use as Fusion but it does what you need to do and is free.
There are plenty of tutorials on youtube to get you started.
Here is a motor mount I designed about a month ago

Nice work, Vlad! But Fusion is free for individuals, too. I believe that there are some limits on it, but as long as you're within those limits, you can use the software for free. And it's powerful! Looks like FreeCad is pretty powerful, too, though. :-)

Thanks, I've used FreeCad for years now, no reason to switch.
