I'm new to the Deus 2 and I'm confused about a couple of things.
1. Is there a single cable for the head unit update? Do I need to order one?
2. We don't download a zip file like we did with version 2?

I follow the tutorial on the XP site. I only have the three connector cable for the head unit connection (I can do single cable for the others). I walk through the menu and tell it to update. It just sits there. But is it just supposed to get the update from the web? I didn't see a place to download a 3.1 zip file...

You go to Xp site the updater.
Only thing you’ll download is the update you want.
You’ll need an account with Xp. With a password.
Here’s how to access- link. Below.
Single cable to update headphones, WS6 and WSa 2 puck.
Remote uses the connector on the multi wire cable supplied.
Watch button sequence carefully (it’s shown) when updating headphones. Very carefully or you will have problem.

Here’s link.

So that takes me to the tutorial. I'm never asked to pick a version or offered a chance to download the files.

You will select version inside the tutorial.
It will also show what version is currently in your component before you choose version you want.
Just remember if you are updating to use hf2 coil you must choose version with 3. Prefix.

I sent you direct private message with video I did at 2:30 07 Sep 2025 that will hopefully help you out with this process.
You have any more questions feel free to ask.
I’ll try to help.
