Tumbled my clad, found a silver!

A few weeks ago I bought a 2 drum rock tumbler to tackle my growing pile of clad. The results were amazing! 3 or 4 days of tumbling produced a nice sum $188.35 in spendable coins. Fewer than 20 of my tumbled coins were rejected by the counting machine, but even the rejected ones still worked at the checkout counter 😉

Then today the silver gods smiled on me and was blessed with this cool rosy! It was my first silver coin dug from that spot, the second from that county, and my second silver coin ever dug during the month of August. Also, it was one of my deeper finds at around 5 or 6 inches. It rang up as a somewhat wispy 26 on the Vanquish.

Thanks for checking out my little update. Let us rejoice in the cooler days and fewer mosquitoes ahead!

Great haul, and congrats on the silver!
How long did it take to pile up the clad?

I spent about as much time swatting skeeters as I spent digging yesterday.
thanks! it took about a year and a half. bugs were as bad as the heat this summer. maybe worse!
