Prospecting a new site. Didn't get to hunt long because of standing water. Found this toe tap and cartridge...the bullet is from a different site but fits perfectly in the case, it's a rimfire. Any ideas on what kind? Do you think I'm on to something?

Nice finds! If the cartridge is larger than a .22 and is a rimfire, it is likely a .32 rimfire.

I find a lot of .32 rimfire casings at turn of the century sites along with toe taps. Must of been a popular cartridge for revolvers and small rifles back in the day.
