Never underestimate the potential contents of a 200 year old stone wall. Found this 3" deep and 3 or 4 inches inside of a very old stone wall. My working philosophy is that someone or someone/s has to build the stone walls and it never hurts to ride up and down them checking the wall itself and 4 or 5 feet on either side... Many old (sometimes valuable) bottles and sometimes old coins etc. This time a wall yielded this 18K mans wedding band. Of course it rang up "Pull Tab" and I said... what the heck is a pull tab doing inside a stone wall way out in a farm field.... good thing I was wrong yet naturally curious.
